Thank you for stopping by, watch this space for new posts coming soon!
Time flies!
Well, I had planned to write a new post for the start/end of each month, clearly that was a little over-ambitious…how can we be nearly two weeks into February already??
Not to worry, I’m sure I’ll get better at this blogging thing as the year goes on.
Anyway, yes I just wanted to let you know I’m still here and that if you would like a portrait, please do get in touch 🙂
Instagram – pictures coming soon, I promise!
Welcome to 2016
Hopefully I’m not the only one who is in that strange ‘in-between’ mood, of feeling not quite ready to admit Christmas is over but ready to move forward and face a new year?
This may only be the first day, but already I feel rather well prepared, organised and excited about 2016. Got my new, empty diary all ready to fill with memories and a to-do list as long as my arm to power through – bring on January 2nd!
Happy New Year ^_^

Friday fox
Foxes are probably one of the most recognisable animals, with their black and white markings on a striking orange coat.
They are known for being cunning and sly, hence this guy’s cheeky expression.
I left most of the rough pencil sketch on show, adding colour on the level below and details on the very top.
Lately I have been experimenting with shading, I like it to be minimal yet still give a design depth.
I think I’m getting the hang of it now but I am always learning as I go!

Hello there!
So kind of you to visit!
I have always sketched in my spare time, anything from character designs to imaginary creatures & this seems like a nice place to share them
I also love to sculpt and create things, though this is less frequent as it depends on the materials available nearby
My other love is animation and I would love to learn how to create my own short films
Ok enough rambling, hope that gave you a little insight into how this blog may evolve – pics coming soon!
Happy December!
My favourite month of the year has finally arrived, feeling so happy right now & can’t wait to start decorating my house.
To celebrate, I have decided to treat my blog to a revamp.
I hope you like this change, here’s to many more posts, portraits & updates in the future.
Take care

1st Craft Show of 2015
Hello again!
After taking a little break, I did my first craft show of this year and it was also my first time out as ‘Espy Art’ rather than ‘Hannah Taylor Pet Portraits’ 🙂
I adore these fairy lights, they really helped make my work stand out |
Usually my good friends Vicki (VHS Photography) and Stacey (Perggals)Â have stalls too, check out their art and photos if you haven’t already, but this time it was just me.
Caught rearranging my flyers |
Vicki (VHS Photography) did come along to visit me as a surprise and took lots of photos while I was working on my latest digital portrait.
Classic ‘over the shoulder’ shot |
All my stall neighbours were super friendly and helped me settle in right away. In fact, everybody was lovely, I don’t think I stopped smiling all day!
Happy to draw all day long |
I was lucky from the very start as I got the car parked right by the door which meant less walking in the wind with all my stuff. Then I was given an 8 foot table, so much space, especially as I only booked a 6 foot one – big thanks to my Dad for helping me set up!
A close up view of my sign and portfolio |
Its a shame I wasn’t able to wander around the show and appreciate everyone’s beautiful displays during the day, but here are just a few of the artists and crafters I met, with links to their work:

My next craft show is over a month away, I just wish it was sooner!
I’d like to thank all the people who visited my stall and chatted to me, and a big thanks to you for reading this blog, you’re great 🙂
Take care
